: blockchain technology has once again proved that it can be applied to the military field. The northatlantictreatyorganization, the communication department of the Intergovernmental military alliance, held a blockchain innovation competition to find applications suitable for NATO's military logistics department, which can also be applied to the payment of military goods and services. Last month, the U.S. Department of defense, through its advanced research projects agency (DARPA), issued a statement seeking a security information system using distributed ledgers. The registration time for the innovation competition of the northatlantictreatyorganization (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), the communication department of the Intergovernmental military alliance, ends today, and participants are asked for proposals for blockchain applications in this competition.

At the end of April, the communication and Information Division (ncia) of NATO announced that it had held the 2016 Innovation Challenge competition to develop "advanced technology solutions". The latest submission date is today, and the final winner will be announced on May 20. Although NATO claims that it has no special requirements for the solution, it still requires that the solution be a military level application. In particular, the organization needs some blockchain applications related to "military logistics", "procurement and finance" and "other military related". The effect of these proposals still needs to be observed. We don't know how many proposals NATO will publish now &mdash& mdash; Although the organization wants to present the best proposals at the Estonian meeting next month.

At least one NATO member, the United States, is interested in this blockchain application competition. Last month, the U.S. Department of defense, through its advanced research projects agency (DARPA), issued a statement seeking a security information system using distributed ledgers. The distributed data sharing feature of blockchain technology will find applications suitable for NATO's military logistics departments, and can also be applied to the payment of military goods and services.
