DEBORAH
GILLITZER, an
NDCA Professional,
is certified as Highly Commended by the United
States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in
American Smooth and American Rhythm Style Ballroom Dance.
She is a current Professional Ballroom Dance
Competitor in American Smooth as well as a Pro/Am competitor
with her students in all styles at ballroom dance competitions
all over the nation.
Deborah is also a certified Zumba instructor and has
gained much popularity due to her great style and Latin
technique. She tries to stay true to the Zumba choreography
and is known for her simplified teaching style and instruction
which helps her students succeed at some of the more
challenging steps.
Deborah
has a Bachelor's Degree in Voice Performance from the
University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and has performed
professionally in the Midwest as well as New York City.
She has had acting, singing, and dance training throughout
her life in Green Bay, Eau Claire, Minneapolis, New
York, and Milwaukee. She co-founded the UW-Eau Claire
Concert Dance Company and has experience performing
and choreographing a large variety of dances (including
Modern, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Tap, Stomp, African
Dancing, and Hip Hop). She has performed in dance, theatre,
musical theatre, opera, and has choreographed musicals
as well as been in commercials and modeled. She has
been teaching ballroom dance professionally for eight
years and is, with her huband
and professional dance partner, working with the
best dance coaches in the United States to improve their
knowledge, technique, and competition style as they
introduce new students to the romance and appeal of
dance.
